I have an unnatural liking for pink + green. Of all the color combos out there, I am a bit biased towards this one.

I actually hadn't planned on wearing this, but once I put on this green sweater my pink pants just magically found their way on my body. Yes magic! Although I can't be certain that I didn't black out due to sleep deprevation and just assume it was magic. Something about Sunday night TV just wipes me out come Monday morning. I blame HBO and Don Draper. While I'm at it let's throw some blame at Eastern Standard Time as well.

Now it's time for my coffee to magically appear.

Routine

After yesterday's lackluster outfit, I figured it was time to get back to outfit planning. Rather than giving my accounting class my full attention {don't tell my teacher}, I started jotting down outfit ideas. Thankfully my class finished early so I spent the rest of my night planning {an episode of New Girl may have also squeezed in}. I started with Pinterest. That led to flipping through the last few issues of Lucky Magazine. Lucky Magazine turned into me frantically ripping out pages with adorable outfits and creating an inspiration board/mess in my living room. I'm sure none of these methods are earth shattering, but its something I've gotten away from since going back to school. Granted my living room is usually always a mess, but planning is something I need to fit back into my routine.

In My Head

This is one of those outfits that looks better in person {or maybe just my head}. My skirt is a bit more purple and seemingly less wrinkled than these photos let on. But that's life in the style blogging world, some outfits work out, others are a bit of a let down. If I had to do it over again, I would add something else to this outfit. Maybe a blazer or scarf, but at 7:30 am my mind just wasn't in the styling mood. Rather it was in the constant snooze type of mood.

But hey, I'll take a tired morning and wrinkled outfit. Especially after nights spent here.

I wore a similar version of this outfit while I was out of town for work. Since my tripod doesn't always travel with me, I figured it was time for a re-wear. I opted for a necklace and different shoes this time so it doesn't quite feel like repeat. But then again, what's wrong with a repeat?

Life According to Instagram

Rather than looking ahead at this week {and unfortunately class tonight}, I'm looking back at the weekend. There were a few drinks, visits to my favorite undergrad establishments, and also a bit of wagering on ponies. All in all it was a successful weekend/trip to Lexington.

First things first, my shirt {if I'm being honest here it's really a t-shirt} is yellow. It may be really pale yellow, but it's definitely yellow. Don't adjust your computer, now you know.

Since I was meeting friends for lunch, I thought I'd wear an outfit that worked for the office, but also incorporated my usual favorites. Stripes and a comfortable tee are usual my go-tos, then I added a scarf/blazer combo to pull it all together.

Sometimes, the day goes your way.
Sometimes, you leave your camera battery at home and when you rush back to get it your landlord catches you taking outfit photos on your porch.

I was really tempted to add a bit of pink to this outfit {I've been a bit pink obsessed lately} but I broke the chain and went with this gold belt. Either way, I was really excited to wear this new midi skirt.

Speaking of this midi skirt, it was part of a shipment I received from Stitchfix. Stitchfix is a fun, new start-up that provides a great and easy styling service. Another day, another polka dot ensemble. What can I say, this girl loves her dots. Not to mention ankle pants, sunglasses, Happy Endings TV marathons, sunglasses, you know the usual stuff...

Speaking of TV marathons, now that Happy Endings is over my sister and I decided it was time to re-watch some of our favorite New Girl episodes. I swear there is nothing better than a little dinner from Wholefoods and laughing so hard that your side hurts. Although now I know better than to drink wine when Schmidt is on screen. Spewing {gross, I know} vino across the room cause you're laughing is such a waste.

Disclosure: This is actually my outfit from last week, pre-emergency bang trim, so excuse the crazy fringe going on. Since #EBEW was yesterday, I had to bump this post another day.

This is actually one of my favorite outfits in a while. I'm a sucker for scarves, polka dots, blazers and stripes - and all of those fabulous things are in this one outfit. If you could see me right now, you would catch me patting myself on the back. I'm also typing this with one hand. Multi-tasker what?

Today is another round of Everybody, Everywear! Rather than going full-on Easter Egg for today’s pastel theme I thought I’d go with this pastel printed skirt. Not that here is anything wrong with going full on Easter Egg but I’ve been there, done that.

Also, I’ve finally given up “trying” to grow out my bangs. Saturday night, I made an emergency appointment and I am proud to say I finally have my vision back. I forgot what it was like to see without constantly having fringe in my face.
